1881 Census Record

The reference to this census record in his Player Profile in England Football Online, is misleading in that it implies he was a schoolmaster at Oxford. The form, reproduced in online resource Ancestry, records him as "Schoolmaster, M.A. Oxford", Oxford referring to where he is stated to have obtained the degree. Further details of university career to follow, cited to Fosters Alumni Oxoniensis.Cloptonson (talk) 12:07, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
