[edit]This page is developing very well. I just wonder if anyone can put any pictures on it. There are some excellent photos in the Denman book of Wille Redmond at different stages of his life but I don't know about copyright issues. It would be easy for a visitor to photograph the 'lonely grave.'
The article seems to lean heavily on Denman and it would be good to find other sources. A few quotes from " Trench pictures from France" might fill it out.
I can recall seeing many references to Wille Redmond in contemporary editions of Punch magazine but with a rather unfortunate tone of condescension towards anyone or anything Irish so I'm not sure if they would be worth following up.
Another point is that the 90th anniversary of the Messines attack and the death of Willie Redmond is coming up this summer. As the 80th was marked by the Island of Ireland Peace Park being opend there may well be plans for the anniversary to be marked in some way. Kusala1952 15:04, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Faulty Date in 'Political Career' section
[edit]In the section 'Political Career' it describes Willie Redmond's election address in '1874' when by my arithmetic he would have been 13!
I do not know the quotation about Home Rule which follows but could someone who does know its source please correct the date?
by the way it is good to see an illustration added - even if it is not one of the man himself.

Unreferenced opinions
[edit]This:
"His 'lonely grave' is emblematic of the distance and alienation most Irish Catholics continue to feel for their fellow countrymen who chose to take part in the war."
...appears to be entirely the personal opinion of the editor responsible. I realise that dealing with this kind of spin on Wikipedia (and elsewhere) is frequently like swimming against the tide, but it ought to be flagged as containing unsubstantiated political commentary.
