William Glover (North Carolina governor) → William Glover (colonial politician) – This title seems both excessively detailed and inaccurate or misleading, as it appears that this fellow was never Governor of North Carolina. He was apparently an acting deputy governor for a couple of years. See also List of colonial governors of North Carolina § Deputy governors of North Carolina, 1691–1712. — BarrelProof (talk) 06:29, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: I've been trying to figure this out, but there has to be a better word than "colonial" to describe politicians representing the Thirteen Colonies prior to the USA being founded, given that per Colonial, associating the term "colonial" with the Thirteen Colonies could potentially have systemic bias. - For some others in America, see Philip Carteret (colonial governor), William Drummond (colonial governor), Edward Godfrey (colonial governor), William Greene (colonial governor), John Parr (colonial governor), Edmund Plowden (colonial governor), George Reade (colonial governor), William Townshend (colonial governor), Samuel Mathews (colonial Virginia governor) and John Carver (Plymouth Colony governor). For India there is Harry Verelst (colonial governor). — BarrelProof (talk) 15:09, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, and I believe all of those need other disambiguators as well due to the ambiguity of "colonial". But ... that's a discussion for a different day. Steel1943 (talk) 17:46, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

- Move to William Glover (North Carolina politician). Usual disambiguation. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:04, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
- No objection to that. — BarrelProof (talk) 15:09, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
