The result of the move request was: moved to Wayne Madsen (sportsperson) (closed by non-admin page mover) Kadzi (talk) 10:13, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
Wayne Madsen (cricketer) → ? – Aside from being a cricketer, Madsen has also been an international field hockey player with South Africa, see [1]. As such, I believe that the article should be moved to a more general disambiguator e.g. Wayne Madsen (sportsperson). Open to suggestions on the disambiguator, but (cricketer) seems to be incorrect given that he's an international player in another sport. On the other hand, (field hockey) seems incorrect as disambiguation when he's spent the last 12 years playing cricket in England. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:22, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
- Shift the Wayne Madsen as a journalist with a cricket as the primary topic I believe the sportsperson should be given the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC than a journalist given pageviews and google search. Another option would make a Wayne Madsen as a disambiguation page with a journalist moved as Wayne Madsen (journalist) or Wayne Madsen (conspiracy theorist). 36.77.93.223 (talk) 21:51, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
- Wayne Madsen the journalist gets more hits so putting the cricketer as primary is hard to justify. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 03:40, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- Support move to Wayne Madsen (sportsperson) More well known for his cricketing career, but multi-sports person with his international hockey career. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 19:40, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- Per WP:NCSPDAB, (sportsperson) is the preferred term. 162 etc. (talk) 16:16, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, have edited. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 17:40, 17 April 2021 (UTC)

- Support Wayne Madsen (sportsman). He's indisputably a man, so we don't have to use gender-neutral language when describing him. Any more than we use "businessperson". -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:36, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
- He is a man, but for all other disambiguators, we tend not to use gendered terminology. Using (sportsperson) seems to be reasonably common on here for multi-sports people. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:40, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- Support Wayne Madsen (sportsperson) per nomination and WP:NCSPDAB. ~ Aseleste (t, e | c, l) 14:34, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
