Second sentence. "The population was 8,596 at the 2000 census." Umm... that seems like a mistype. But then I see it later, as well. Checking multiple sources and Waukesha is a lot bigger then that, even at the 2000 census. http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/55/5584250.html According to this site, 64,828 is the population. The official census.gov 67,625 is the population. That's not that big of a difference, but much bigger then any 9,000.

You've confused the Town of Waukesha, the subject of this article, with the City of Waukesha, the place to which the census figure you quote belongs! --Orange Mike | Talk 21:54, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
