Two questions
[edit]- "The tournament ran four times, from 1970 to 1973, before being discontinued." - how come a result from the 1978 final is shown.....?
- "Montana Watney also represented the Watney clan in the cup" - what does this mean - who on earth is "Montana Watney".... ? ChrisTheDude 15:19, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- I removed both the above as they appear to be nonsense - the same user who added the bit about "Montana Watney" has also added similar nonsense regarding this name to at least one other page.... ChrisTheDude 23:36, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
One of the most interesting pionts about the competition was that the off side rule was ignored so, you could leave a forward marking the opposition goal keeper and turning defence into attack in an instant. Location of Watney Cup
[edit]Does anyone know where the actual cup is now? Stoke as the last winners don't have it. I've heard that Derby may have it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alsager boy (talk • contribs) 11:22, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
