Additional Information
Hi everyone, my name's Rob and I work for Waste Management. I just wanted to let you know about a few things I thought were missing. I listed them as best I could, with sources!
Marketing
Below are some links (the first from the New York Times) about WM's branding efforts, which isn't really mentioned in the marketing part of the page:

Company Financial Information
This is our filing with the SEC and has our corporate structure better detailed, as well as some operations. http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/823768/000119312508065280/ddef14a.htm
Also from this link, you see that Thomas H. Weidemeyer is a missing board member.
Ethics
While WM has had some ethical issues in the past, since starting, our CEO has been committed to changing that:

We have a lot of things going on! Believe me, I read this page before getting hired, and once I got here I found out so much more. I think a lot of this is worth including. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.101.1.5 (talk) 20:56, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- Question: and I know you probably won't get a chance to read this, but if you could list these here, why couldn't you just add these things yourself? We could have cleaned it up for you if you were in a hurry... Tubularbells1993 (talk) 13:41, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Legal History
This whole article is curiously light on all of the many and varied indictments and the anti-trust issues. Shouldn't the federal and state, civil and criminal proceedings at least be addressed?
- Done, however that section severely lacks NPOV now that they are. I think I might work on a new draft of the article to better incorporate these issues into the main body, as I have a very good source to do so. Tubularbells1993 (talk) 02:35, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Citations or sources box thingy
This article does cite some sources. That first paragraph needs to be revised a little because it was copied word for word from the Overview section on the About page of the Waste Management, Inc. web site. Fiver2552 20:10, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Environmental Record
Though I'll agree that W.M. has done some great things for the environment, this is severely lacking in NPOV. It ought to sound a bit more objective... —Preceding unsigned comment added by MHotwagner (talk • contribs) 00:31, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah... It looks like a block of text copied from an advertisement. There's also no citation for it. Square126 (talk) 16:36, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- I propose a complete and total deletion of that section altogether. POV is unbalanced with this section and the legal issues not merged into the History section. Tubularbells1993 (talk) 02:44, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
“Hi, this is Rob from Waste Management. As you may have seen, I recently updated the content on Waste Management’s Wikipedia page to clean up the language and address the community’s concerns about citations from third-party sources. That being said, I believe that the two tags posted to our “Environmental Record” in July and October 2009 are no longer valid, as we have made the language factual and neutral in tone, and have cited relevant resources to support these facts.
I would like to request that any editors on the page review this new content and, if the tags are no longer needed, please remove them from the page. Thanks in advance for your help and consideration.” —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rkidwell (talk • contribs) 21:01, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- Rob, I was about to remove the tags, but I found that the NPR link is dead. Can you provide a verifiable source? (Maybe the page is in the Internet Archive. Also, please use the 'Edit summary' field. {Update: found one.} --Elvey (talk) 20:16, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Labor relations
What the hell is this? Someone hates WM enough to bring some charges against it without citations. I hate that: Someone puts some controversy onto a page and doesn't even bother to cite ANY of it. Tubularbells1993 (talk) 18:23, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Doesn't sound very professional and it's severely unbalancing hte NPOV (as if it was here to begin with) Tubularbells1993 (talk) 00:40, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- I agree, I balanced it somewhat and added some references. Any better? Postoak (talk) 01:18, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- LOL now it is, I just hate it when people add it and expect someone else to clean up afterwards, you shouldn't have HAD to do that XD Tubularbells1993 (talk) 13:37, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
- I agree, I balanced it somewhat and added some references. Any better? Postoak (talk) 01:18, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- Would this reference be helpful? http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/teamsters-tell-waste-management-stop-aggressive-talk-send-goon-squad-packing,1223356.shtml
- It describes the "Green Team" (the alleged "goon squad" of WMI) and the complains of the labor against WMI, as well as mentions an accident in which "a locked-out employee was struck by a WMI truck driven by a Green Team member." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.88.44.99 (talk) 23:14, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
What's a customer?
How can a company that handles more than a quarter of US trash have under 20 million 'customers'? I guess if a housing complex of 100 4-person families is considered one customer, then it could work out.--Elvey (talk) 19:55, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Recycling, Renewable Energy and International
Hi all -- this is Robert from Waste Management. I've added a few sections with information on recycling, renewable energy, and our international operations. I've cited all sections with a variety of relevant sources and have done my best to keep it neutral in tone. Please let me know if there is anything you have questions about. Thank you (156.101.1.5 (talk) 21:04, 20 August 2010 (UTC))
