There are some factual errors I am fixing. The Wartburg alwas had a fuel pump, only the early 311's with 900 cc had thermo-syphon cooling.
The 353 was known as the "Wartburg Knight" in the UK. I had a saloon version and seem to remember that it had thermo-syphon cooling. Maybe I am wrong. Curiously, the water temperature as indicated by the gauge used to drop when the heater was turned on Cabinscooter 21:25, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
I`m not sure if the free wheel device was actually for fuel-saving. Petoil-lubricated two stroke engines are starved of oil on the over run (closed throttle) therefore the free-wheel prevents this problem. Also, engine braking on a two stroke is minimal in any case. Wrong car in gallery
[edit]The Warszawa was no predecessor of the Wartburg. Warszawa was a polish brand, made by FSO. I'll try to fix this.

Wrong car in picture
[edit]The white Wartburg that is indicated as 353S is in fact 353W. If you zoom in at the picture, you can read this on the plaque in front of the car.

Mysterious concept car
[edit]Some years ago there were rumors of revival of Wartburg. Some photos circulated about a new concept car, but I found no one who knows more. http://robson.m3rlin.org/cars/wartburg-concept/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.2.144.210 (talk) 19:24, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Boxer Engine
[edit]How do you get a three-cylinder boxer? This sounds profoundly dubious to me. Mr Larrington (talk) 13:53, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
