Liushui/Lalin River

[edit]

At the beginning of the fourth paragraph I am pretty sure it should be "Aguda rallied his tribesmen (around 2,500 men) at Lailiushui (來流水)" instead of "Liushui". Corresponding sentence in the Jinshi: "諸路兵皆會于來流水,得二千五百人。"(https://zh.wikisource.org/wiki/%E9%87%91%E5%8F%B2/%E5%8D%B72). --Britishclimate (talk) 23:11, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Naming

[edit]

This article seems to violate naming conventions. If Abaoji should be "Emperor Taizu of Liao" then this article should be "Emperor Taizu of Jin" ludahai 魯大海 08:57, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

brother or father

[edit]

Can anyone confirm if he helped his father or brother to strengthen their clan? His father's name was Wanyan Helibo and his brother's name was Wanyan Wuyashu. How can it be possible that he helped his father (whose name is Helibo) Wuyashu? Did he have two names?

Where does "Akutta" come from?

[edit]

In Chinese texts, his name is Āgǔdǎ, and in Old Manchu it is Agūda. So where does this mysterious alternate reading "Akutta" come from? Btawney (talk) 00:12, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

God knows. Google Books shows this spelling in a couple (older) books, that's it. I've reworded the "names" paragraph to indicate that it's a very rare spelling, much more rare than e.g. Wade-Giles A-ku-ta. Vmenkov (talk) 01:15, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't his name be "Akuteng" instead in WG? This is from the older pronunciation of 打. Timluo (talk) 04:14, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

About whether the era name 'Shouguo' existed and when the era name 'Tianfu' start

[edit]

According to Liu Pujiang(Chinese:刘浦江)'s essay 'Doubts about truthfulness of the history of foundation of (Jurchen) Jin Dynasty' (Chinese: 关于金朝开国史的真实性质疑), maybe the era name 'Shouguo' didn't exist and the year 'Tianfu 1' is 1118AD instead of 1117AD.
