[edit]Does this town have anything to do with Billy Joel's song, Vienna?
- According to this site, that song is either about his father in Vienna, Austria, or using that Vienna as a metaphor for a place where an artist goes to "make it".
- It's unlikely that Vienna, New York ever inspired a song - it's a town in the official sense, but not what you'd think of when you think of a "small town". Virtually no one would ever say they were "from Vienna" or "going to Vienna", unless they were referring to the hamlet of Vienna, which is just a few houses and a state highway maintenance building surrounding a sleepy rural intersection. But who knows - there's a The Notorious B.I.G. rhyme that mentions the equally sleepy rural locale of Bridgeport, New York. AKADriver 18:03, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
