The result of the move request was: Moved to Vedavathi Alladhu Seetha Jananam as agreed by editors — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:03, 19 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Vedavathi or Seetha JananamVedavathi (film) – As stated in Encyclopedia of Indian Cinema page 655, Seetha Jananam is an alternate title of the film Vedavathi; both do not form the same title. I also believe we must use the main title, not the secondary one. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:34, 13 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Both Vedavathi and Sita refer to the same person. Vedavathi is the name of the Spirit of Sita Devi. In her previous birth Sita was Vedavathi. She was doing penance to marry Vishnu. Ravana saw her and tried to molest her. She committed suicide but vowed to Ravana that she will born again and punish him. Thus Vedavathi born as Sita. The title is not the alternate name to the film. Vedavathi or Sita refers to the person only. Therefore, title should not be changed.--UKSharma3 02:20, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
Yes, you are right Kailash. The article may be renamed as Vedavathi Alladhu Seetha Jananam. Thanks for the suggestion.--UKSharma3 04:13, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

English translation of the title

[edit]

@Kailash29792: I can't understand why you changed the English name of the film overwriting my translation that I did after the discussion. Your translation nullifies my explanation in the discussion. I think you want to go by that Encyclopedia entry only.--UKSharma3 05:54, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

Okay, I'm sorry. I was trying to render a more accurate translation of the title. I realise that Vedavathi and Seetha were the same person, so I've reverted my own edit. Once again, apologies for the misunderstanding. --Kailash29792 (talk) 13:40, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
