Copyright violating uplaods
[edit]I have removed the pics - the violating web links are in my edit comments - they are all copyright violations, stolen from the Internet and uploaded to wikipedia commons as if free to use - ? why does wikipedia allow such abuse? Govindaharihari (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 20:19, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- It doesn't - see WP:NFC and WP:COPYVIO. I believe all of these photos were all copied over from Wallace L. Hall Jr., which needs to be scrubbed as well. Thanks for catching this. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 20:41, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- You mean Wallace L. Hall, Jr. - thanks - this is one of the uploading violators - all his uploads are still on wikipedia commons as free to use - none of them are actually free to use at all - User:Patrkdeepak - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Patrkdeepak - this is another - User:Tech.syn - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Tech.syn - Govindaharihari (talk) 20:49, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- I'm fine with the removals, but aren't copyvio of images removed in a process at the commons and then at the pages? I thought if an image was commons it could be used until properly deleted there. Capitalismojo (talk) 16:10, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. If a photo is a copyright fraud then this en wikipedia should not use them just because another wikipedia is publishing them under a false license. I don't use that wiki and I have no idea how to delete them from that commons wikipedia. Govindaharihari (talk) 11:14, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
Lede
[edit]How should the lede be improved? There is a tag but no discussion yet. Capitalismojo (talk) 16:12, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
- My edit summary: "POV-lead tag - way too much emphasis on commentary, a single sentence should do. And was it really unanimously critical of the impeachment proceedings?)" --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 18:38, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
Tony McDonald Efforts to Hijack Article
[edit]This article has been hijacked by one side of an ongoing debate, and efforts to balance the discussion keep getting reverted by those persons. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.42.102.128 (talk) 17:53, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
