I am a professor at ULPGC, bit not a member of the governing board.

The previous version of this page was defamatory to ULPGC and researching staff like my self. That version was only recently vandalized, in my opinion, by an ULPGC insider (193.145.150.49 is an internal ULPGC address). Probably a frustated applicant or failed student.

I have edited the article because the previous text didn't fulfilled the Wikipedia first Pillar in three ways: - Not neutral point of view - Not verificable (not a single reference) - full of personal opinion and rant

Onepage, 14 october 2007

Cry me a river. I was the author of a large part of the so-called 'rant'. I was here visiting and wrote what I saw: Cronyism, endogamy, petty corruption and cooked books. For example, your citation of 3000 (!) peer review papers is typical: internal documentation and mis-representation of statistics. The documentation you provide does not prove that they were peer-reviewed. As is often the case, paper are published in second rate journals, who just happen to be friends of the author or the friend of a friend. There's quality. And no, ULPGC is not ranked 36 out of 70-odd universities. It is scrapping the bottom and to jiggle the numbers is not good. I have begun to find sources for some of my observations, which I will continue to do over the next few months. If you are interested in what I have written just type in 'endogamy' and 'Spanish universities' in google, although I suspect you don't have to. By the way, neutral point of view can include negative observations. After all, we don't live in a perfect world.
