USCGC Douglas Munro → SLNS Vijayabahu (P627) – Given that the ship is now in the service in the Sri Lanka Navy as SLNS Vijayabahu (P627) it makes sense to move this page to the ships new name as is with the case of her sister ship SLNS Gajabahu (P626).Cossde (talk) 03:49, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose as you provide no evidence that this has become its WP:COMMONNAME. This vessel has an elaborate history of operation under the US Navy and that long-term significance might overtake the official name.

- Reply The ship served with the US Coast Guard and not the US Navy. Since it was decommissioned, USCGC Douglas Munro is no longer the name used for this ship. It is common for ships to change names when the move from one navy to the other, with the last name taking precedence. Examples are INS Viraat, ARA General Belgrano and USCGC Eagle (WIX-327) to name a few. Cossde (talk) 14:10, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- Support as this seems to be the standard across the WikiProject and there does not appear to be too important history. Aaron Liu (talk) 15:19, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
