Germany

Article states "from 1972–88, Germany competed in the European Championship final tournament as West Germany". I do not agree, since the nation was and still is called "Bundesrepublik Deutchland", B.R.D.. And the team represents the nation in all cases outside the U.K. (And atleast England, Scotland and Northern Ireland have league system of their own, so that's fine). During the period between 1948 and 1990 there were "two Germanys". The already mentioned and "Deuchche Demokratiche Republik", D.D.R. or in English G.D.R.. In october 1990 the former G.D.R. became a part of B.R.D. And hence I think that all results of the B.R.D. must be aggregated and D.D.R. results be separated as an no longer existing nation. It's possible that B.R.D. can win the World Cup this summer. And if that happens I would say that "B.R.D. won their fourth title". Even if the nation previosly has been known as "Western Germany". The German reunion was infact B.R.D. that got more territory and inhabitants. Boeing720 (talk) 05:17, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

From 1960 to 1988 Ukraine competed as Soviet Union

From 1960 to 1988 the Soviet Union national football team played in 5 UEFA European Championships was Qualified team. In 1992 as CIS national football team. Ukraine was part of the USSR from 1922 to 1991. Many Ukrainian players played for the Soviet Union national football team and CIS national football team during this period. Please include in Previous appearances in tournaments for Ukraine - 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972, 1988, 1992. Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic was part USSR from 1922 to 1991 too. In Previous appearances in tournaments for Russian Federation - 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972, 1988, 1992.
