[edit]Wouldn't it be better to put the candidates in order of the the number of votes won? (ie, Kerry, Bush, Badnarik, Cobb, Others) And for the breakdown by counties I would suggest putting it in order of % vote for the candidate which won in the state (in this case Kerry) instead of alphabetical order, so San Francisco would be at the top and Modoc county at the bottom - I think it's more interesting and useful this way. -- Joolz 14:40, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Hi and thank you for your comment. I agree with you, as presented now, the table in this article is not very interesting, but I don't think we should put the counties in order of % vote for Kerry. Indeed, there are 58 counties in California, so if we don't list them in alphabetical order, I think it will be kind of a mess : I know where to find Colusa County in an alphabetical list, not in a list by % of vote for Kerry. In order to give an easy view of the political trend of each county, I wanted to do the way I already did for New York. Moreover, if we change the way we list the counties in California, we shall do this for the 22 election results page I've already created. It's quite a boring job, especially alone. Best regards --Revas 14:14, 15 August 2005 (UTC)(sorry for my English, I'm not an English-speaker)
- I think putting them in %vote for Kerry is a more useful and interesting order than alphabetically, I don't think there will be that many users who will be looking for the result in the county in such way, and I don't think it will make it any more difficult. I will help out with any changeover, so it's only 11 or so each, and I'm more than used to boring jobs ;) And your english is excellent :P -- Joolz 14:49, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
- Ok. Let's discuss about how we should organize the changes on our talk pages.--Revas 16:13, 15 August 2005 (UTC)

Contradictory data
[edit]The Secretary of State lists 21,213 votes for Nadar in the PDF version of the Statement of the Vote, and 20,714 in the spreadsheet (Excel) version of it. This should be looked into further, and the results section should also be updated. Psychless 02:04, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
