Om Amrita Teja Vate Svaha (Heart Mantra)

[edit]

I just found out that there is a shorter Mantra. Should I include into the Mantra section? (Starkliew (talk) 05:15, 14 May 2011 (UTC))[reply]

I've only seen one source for this heart-mantra (om amrta teja vate svaha). I still don't know if it is legitimate. It is not in the Usnisa Vijaya Dharani Sutra, for example. The source I saw it in came from the "True Buddha School" which is not mainstream Mahayana Buddhism, and seems to follow the personality cult of Lu Sheng-yen, who is quite controversial. I go through again my reference on Usnisa Vijaya Dharani Sutra and the shorter version no where to be found. The shorter mantra as claim not only found in Master Lu Sheng-yen book but also from other web site. I remember one site (link lost due to empty history) suggested to read the full mantra first before recite "Om Amrita Teja Veta Svaha" 108 times. It oppose to what i had practice currently. I think is quite controversial and I better remove it.(Starkliew (talk) 05:33, 15 May 2011 (UTC))[reply]
HA! I found the link http://usnisa.blogspot.com/2010/02/blog-post_4204.html. Can some one verify with source on Heart Mantra "Om Amrta Tejavati Svaha" status as part of Usnisa Vijaya Dharani or better know as short version?(Starkliew (talk) 08:10, 16 May 2011 (UTC))[reply]
Ah, hehe, it was spelled wrong before, so no results came up. A search for "tejavati" returns many results now from Chinese sources, so I don't doubt this mantra. Tengu800 01:05, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank Tengu800 and I offer sincere thank to the Namo Manjusri Bodhisattva since I recite "om a ra pa ca na dhih" 21x to seek his guidance on "Om Amrta Tejavati Svaha" status and that was three hour ago. It really miracle and I got feedback from Tengu800 after that. Starkliew (talk) 03:26, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is Usnisa Vijaya Dharani Sutra belong to one of Mahayana Sutras Collection?

[edit]

I'm loss here? Is there anybody can explain? Starkliew (talk) 11:18, 4 November 2010 (UTC) Answer: Solved with the reference from Tengu800, Thank. Starkliew (talk) 06:36, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Korean history regarding Usnisa Vijaya Dharani Sutra

[edit]

I wonder if there are other References Regarding Korean history both for the Sutra & the claim of the "earliest example of printed text in the world"[1] .

The Usnisa Vijaya Dharani Sutra, discovered inside the Sŏkka Pagoda in 1966, was printed 751 years ago, and it is celebrated as the earliest example of printed text in the world.
