which surprised me, as I do not think this is a high-quality page (for example, it gives no references, apart from the one I have just inserted). Perhaps quality is not expected for 'Did you know'. ColinFine 23:01, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, not really, it's still a stub. DYK doesn't expect quality, just new articles. It's a way of asking for collaboration on a new article. And it works. As for references, the wikilinks to other articles are references, most of this info is in main articles on the different twirling related topics. I wish you would remove that tag, none of this is in any way unreferenced. Read the inline links. User:Pedant 05:17, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I see the point. don't think of wikilinks as references, but I guess they themselves contain the references. I've removed it.
The page doesn't say it's a stub. ColinFine 22:18, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
here is where the stub tag was removed. User:Pedant 02:56, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Astrowheeling"?

[edit]

I can't find any reference to "astrowheeling" being a hobby, sport or anything of the sort other than one book from 1979. I don't know if it's just commonly referred to by another term, but it gives me the impression this was something one guy invented/tried to popularize, and so wrote a book about it and gave it a name. There's no references to it anywhere that I can find other than that one book. It just looks like a bicycle wheel gyroscope to me. -Indalcecio (talk) 22:00, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
