An IP editor (2600:387:6:80D:0:0:0:BB) added this to the article. The point they make has some validity and merits a discussion, but it was commentary and should have been put here:

Pleas edit the completely ridiculous fear monger liberal statements from under the wild horse picture. There is no issue with human suburbia encroachment or death and destruction or last known pictures of wild horses. Nevada has literally no one living in it what so ever. Horses can run and be free and live long lives. Unreal a journalists uses their omnipotence arrogance to prosecute people, save horses all in one finger pointing statement. So sad. If Nevada had a wild horse issue? Jesus? Last known portrait of a wild horse? Insane. Clearly have never been here. Ever

Incorrect geo-coordinates in the lede

[edit]

I am going to re-do the lede and/or revert to a previous version. At issue is the lede claims the Truckee Meadows valley's limit are the south runway at the Reno-Tahoe Airport. That is absurd, and not supported by the source listed (which is a topo map wiht a user created overlay). In fact, the very map cited shows the valley being much larger than that, with the marked point residing between the "E" and "M" in Truckee Meadows. I have no doubt this was with good intention, but is a misread of the map.Dave (talk) 22:14, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore the text USGS report currently used a a source for the claim "second largest population center in Nevada" also has a description of the valley, which also contradicts the claim that the valley begins at the end of the airport runway.Dave (talk) 22:19, 22 January 2018 (UTC).[reply]
OMG, it gets worse the more work I do on this article, it repeats itself _THREE TIMES_ about the mountain ranges that define the limits of the valley, in addition to the incorrect limits that are in the lede. This is more than fixing the lead, I'm pretty much gutting the article. Dave (talk) 22:26, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
