  • The lede could use come clarification what/where Mangaia and Rarotonga are. It gives no indication what country the cyclone affected, and for that matter what ocean it was even in. That is key info that should be in the lede.

  • Watch for overlinking (Mangaia is linked twice in the lede, cyclone is uselessly linked).

  • "$52,000 was needed to repair losses" - you should clarify what currency.

  • "Due to the severity of damage caused by Trina, its name was retired in May 2002 and replaced with Tino." - that should appear in the body of the article, and there's no need to have it linked in the lede.

  • The first sentence of the MH is a tad confusing for people who don't know about tropical cyclones. They might assume that the upper-level low was the tropical cyclone. You might want to rephrase and say "the origins of Trina", or whatnot.
The low made it's way down to the surface, therefore it was the same system. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 07:22, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why was it mostly stationary for so long?
No reason given in the ATCR Cyclonebiskit (talk) 02:22, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Parts of the island were inundated with up to 2 m (6.6 ft)" - of what? Did 6.6 feet of rain fall?

All in all, pretty good read. Once these are addressed, I'll be glad to pass. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 16:52, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
