Triadenum or Hypericum
[edit]This is considered by Kew Botanical Gardens to be a synonym for Hypericum virginicum. http://plantsoftheworldonline.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:126395-2#synonyms - Valerie (talk) 00:37, 31 July 2019 (UTC)
- @ValerietheBlonde:, thanks for the edit, the articles does include those synonyms on the right infobox, and actually uses that POWO link as a reference. Fritzmann2002 T, c, s, t 22:08, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah, at the time I wrote this article (January 2019), POWO split Triadenum off from Hypericum. I emailed Govaerts about it and in February he changed POWO to include it within Hypericum. So there's a bit of cleaning up that needs to be done here and with the other Triadenum species. It's just a few species thankfully. Also Lianthus and Thornea.
- @ValerietheBlonde:, if you want to try out moving a page, you can go to the article, in the top right click More, then Move, and where it says Triadenum virginicum you can replace it with Hypericum virginicum, leave a short reason, and click Move Page. After that, you can clean up the article by replacing mentions of Triadenum being the accepted genus to Hypericum. More info here: Wikipedia:Moving a page. Or, someone else can move it for sure, but if you do want to, and run into any issues, feel free to shoot me an email or message me on the iNat forum or something if you run into issues (this is @bouteloua). :) —Hyperik ⌜talk⌟ 12:45, 3 August 2019 (UTC)

– Triadenum was lumped within Hypericum several years ago. Secondary sources like Plants of the World Online and VASCAN now accept this taxonomy. —Hyperik ⌜talk⌟ 01:14, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
