Wrong! This is NOT the oldest in the world, by any means. Even as far as Windsor is concerned, the similarly-named Treaty of Windsor signed in 1175 between the King of England and the High-King of Ireland, is older. Seneschally (talk) 15:30, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It would better be described as the oldest 'non-defunct' diplomatic alliance, then. What would be the best way to put it? Tschild (talk) 22:02, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Churchill quote moved to correct article

[edit]

I have moved the section about Churchill invoking the treaty to Anglo-Portuguese Treaty of 1373 because it is clear that he invoked that treaty, not this one. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 11:26, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

‘Historian Matthew Winslett’

[edit]

Is someone who did an MA (at a second rate university) really someone to be classed as a “historian”? He studied history but doesn’t seem to have pursued an academic career in the subject. Can’t we find any better source/authority? 88.212.130.194 (talk) 10:24, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
