Intersect

[edit]

The article currently reads, "...a trajectory which will intersect the Moon." Is that really correct? Doesn't "injection" refer to injecting the spacecraft into an orbit around the Moon? (sdsds - talk) 05:05, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Intersect is the correct word. Injection refers to the burn itself. --Abebenjoe 22:44, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Timing

[edit]

Also, the mid-point of the burn isn't quite opposite the moon's expected position, as the SIVB loses mass during its burn, it gains more speed during the second half (while it is lighter) than during the first half (when it is heavier). Therefore, the mid point is retarded by some degrees.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.152.0.78 (talk) 00:16, 2007-06-25
