Origin of name: Manos?

Does anyone know when the Torgo robot character originated and, if it was created in 1966 or later, whether it was named after the caretaker in "Manos: The Hands of Fate"? 173.79.181.116 (talk) 18:22, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
