Romanization
[edit]I'm beginning to second-guess my own move. The Google ngram actually shows Tang Jingxing as the least common of the three names listed. There appears to be no consensus among recent scholarly works.
Tang Tingshu is used by:
- Stepping Forth Into the World by Edward J. M. Rhoads (2011)
- Westernization Movement and Early Thought of Modernization in China by Jianbo Zhou (2022)
Tong King-sing is used by:
- Chinese Englishes by Kingsley Bolton (2006)
- Chinese Christians by Carl T. Smith (1985) - an older work, but one of the fuller accounts of his life
Tang Jingxing is used by:
- Mapping Meanings edited by Michael Lackner and Natascha Vittinghoff (2004)
- Joining the Global Public edited by Rudolf G. Wagner (2012)
Given this, I think the most appropriate solution would be to move the page to Tang Tingshu, at least for now. SilverStar54 (talk) 16:59, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
