A Note About The Link:

Yeah, the site has now gone out of business... but the synopses still came from there. Should it continue to be mentioned? Just wondered, because if there is no link then people began questioning the source of the information. In all truth, when doing these pages, most of the synopses came from my knowledge of the show, though.

Slight Drawback

[edit]

Any of you guys know a site with all the writers, producers ect. of these episodes. If you'll don't all I have to say is dvd's and laptop lol! --Mulder talk 18:03, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also I'd like to add different photos for every episode --Mahogany 17:49, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Avatar and the series story arc

[edit]

Avatar, about the attempt to frame Assistant Director Skinner for murder, is not a "monster of the week" episode. It is broadly part of the series story arc involving the Syndicate, and their machinations. They had already tried to murder Skinner in a previous story arc episode. This was their second attempt to silence him and get him out of the way of their plans. They did not want the murder of Melissa Scully investigated. As was stated in the episode, a second murder attempt would have drawn too much attention to the members of the Syndicate. That's why the frame up job was set in motion. The only X-files type element was the Old Woman, who in the end was evidently helping Skinner. All of the events relate to previous story arc events, and main story arc characters appear in the episode. — Parsa (talk) 01:24, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be reviewing this one! TBrandley 17:37, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Add "American" before "science fiction"
  • Unlink television series per WP:OVERLINK
  • "Federal Bureau of Investigation" shorten to "FBI"
  • "attained ratings much higher" words like "much higher" don't represent a neutral point of view, and therefore must be removed or sourced/quoted by some notable person
  • "1995–1996" WP:YEAR violation "1996" should be "96"
  • "mostly positive" mostly should be "generally"
  • ""The Blessing Way"" comma at end
  • Crew header not needed because that's the only one
  • "1995–96 television season" should all be linked into that, not just "1995-96"
  • Speaking of this, as it is linked here, link it in the lede as well
  • "The X-Files's" remove last "'s"
  • "A-" WP:DASH concern, hypten should be an en-dash
  • "for a Series for the episode" too many "for" there
  • I made some WP:DASH and WP:MOSNUM fixes myself by a script
  • "The X-Files Wiki" italics for "The X-Files"
  • Categories should be sorted in alphabetical order

Overall; good job. Once the above issues are addressed, I will pass the article based on the good article criteria, though I've gone further. Well done! TBrandley 02:13, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ratings references

[edit]

I don't understand why my edits are being reverted like that. They are not "screwed up and wrong". The source is USA Today, the same source for seasons 1 and 2 ratings. MiguelPortugal (talk) 01:38, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
