Is there any reliable source to indicate that this series has any Canadian connection at all? In September an editor added "Canada" to the countries of origin and placed this article into the associated categories, but the assertion is unsourced (indeed the entire article is unsourced!) and the only information I can find reasonably quickly on the subject is on the main Madeline page that indicates that this series was originally produced in the U.S. for ABC, followed a few years later by some more episodes for the Disney Channel. How does Canada fit into this mix? Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 16:22, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The editor had indicated in an edit summary that the show was produced by the Canadian Cookie Jar Entertainment. A little more digging indicates that when DIC Entertainment produced this series in 1995 and 2000, it was an American company; it did not become Cookie Jar Entertainment - and Canadian - until a merger in 2008. Thus if the Canadian connection is that Cookie Jar in a prior iteration produced this show, it's wrong. Based on what I've been able to ascertain, therefore, I'm going to undo all Canadian material pending sources to the contrary. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 16:33, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I remember seeing the Cinar (now Cookie Jar Group) in the series intro on a Tiny Pop airing along with the France animation logo, so it could be Canadian and French. Davebrayfb (talk) 20:13, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You need something that says, with words, that this show was produced in Canada or by a company that was located in Canada when it produced it. Also Dave, when you're blocked you're not allowed to edit at all. Admins get grumpy about that real fast, so please wait until you have things sorted on your actual account. Thanks! Dave, it doesn't matter what you remember. You need to find a reliable third party source that says, this show was produced in Canada; or that it was produced by a company that was in Canada when they produced it. You should click on the link above to learn about sources; also try WP:OR and WP:synthesis. JohnInDC (talk) 18:35, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Considering that there has been an article for the TV adaptations of Madeline for quite a while, I think it would be more convenient for this page to redirect you to this page. Any thoughts? Gavin the Otter (talk) 11:00, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
