Clean up tag

  • This article is much too long for the content in it. Additionally, it has neither an "encyclopedic" tone nor citations for most of its content. - brenneman(t)(c) 06:11, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
  • The page is no worse than the also extremely long page dedicated to Opie & Anthony. As both are morning shows on XM radio, as well as local legends, then they should both be deemed worthy
    • I think that it could use a clean up because of the second point brenneman brought up. It lacks citation and rambles a bit without being encyclopedic. I think the length, however, is just fine. Please sign your comments with four tildes in the future. - JaKaL! 20:38, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
    • How do you cite a radio show, and events that have transpired over the radio?
      • I believe owner of the broadcast (Clear Channel, in this case), call letters, frequency number, name of show/broadcast, and date aired would be sufficient. Anyone else have comments on this? - JaKaL! 22:59, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
  • Cleaned up a line and added the Orlando location reference to the prize category.
  • Removed an opinionated comment about Tiffany from the cast members section.
    • It is looking quite a bit better. I think that we should remove the characters section. Unless something can be said about them, like the references to the cast members, it's just deadwood. Most of these characters don't recur on a normal basis. They should simply be removed. Bit characters come and go like the wind on a radio show. JaKaL! 19:58, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

incorrect information

The Musical Genius, Bubba Whoop-Ass Wilson - Bubba is the source of anything musical that comes from the Monsters, including The Monster Band. Bubba has played with many famous musicians throughout his career, '''and was a member of the allegedly well-known band Clutch'''. He is able to come up with a song in an instant. He once met professionally with Michael Jackson and is inseperable from his best friend "Everett the Drunken Piano."

this is untrue. If it is true, please provide verification.

I'll add alleged to the front of the statement. That should fix it. JaKaL! 19:58, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Cast members' real names

I figured that since I reverted a bunch of vandalism that removed the real names of some of the cast members, I'd better post something here. That information is encyclopedic and should be kept in the article. Furthermore, those people who have their real names cited have either mentioned them on air or were involved in matters (court proceedings, etc.) that are a matter of public record. Hence, there is no expectation of privacy. Anyone else have any input on this? - JaKaL! 16:43, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Go ahead and put their real names down anyway, I already know them. O-TOWN'S AT

Dirty Jim is the only one that prefers to keep his real name private, as he tends to make people mad more than the other members, and has children he wants to protect from upset fans. His name has never been mentioned on air. Please provide the source of his name in the public, where he is identified by his real name and his radio character. - Paul /Rhoadrunner, President of Monsters fan club (Monsters Militia).

I'm trying to find one. If I can't, then I guess it should be removed. Watch this space. JaKaL! 18:45, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

I have discussed this with him, and he wants to keep it private. Please do not add it back in unless you can find definitive proof that it is out in the general public, stating that "Dirty Jim" = J_______ C________. It serves no public service to reveal his name against his will, especially in light of past threats against him and his family.

I think that's fair. After a bit of searching, I wasn't able to find anything. I have a feeling there might have been a police report filed for the gun discharge from last year (or year before?) boat show bit, but that whole thing might have been staged. Remember to sign your comments with the four tildes. See WP:SIG for more details - JaKaL! 14:55, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Please don't add Dirty Jim's name back in. There is no reason to do it. The reason against it is death threats to his family. Rhoadrunner 01:20, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of discussion threads

While it is important to try to keep this talk page current, it is not a good practice to delete old conversation. It is far better to provide an archive page and put all of the old business up there. See the link marked 'Archive 1' at the top of the page. Thanks! JaKaL! 05:23, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

POV concerns

What are the POV concerns with this article? Some specifics will make cleanup far easier. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rtphokie (talkcontribs) 14:09, August 22, 2007 (UTC).

since there is no discussion of specifics of POV concerns, I'm going to remove the tag. --Rtphokie 11:54, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:MonsterHeadshot.jpg

Image:MonsterHeadshot.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
