Notes

[edit]

I removed the following section in the article: "The term may sometimes also be used as a euphemism by anti-Semitic conspiracy theorists who believe that Jewish people control the financial markets." It was stupid.

Also, I changed the importance of this stub to 'high.' An understanding of international finance is necessary for a comprehensive evaluation of the world economy and globalization. '

Distinction

[edit]

Equating international finance with international macroeconomics or international monetary economics is nonsense. International monetary economics is a subset of international macro, while international finance and international macro have some topics in common, but are distinct. International finance is finance in an international context. International macro is macro in an international context. Macro is not the same as finance. --Arbraxan (talk) 15:24, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

While I share your feeling that a more thorough and more nuanced description of what international finance encompasses is needed, the current text of the article is sourced. This article is on my long-term to-do list as I intend to give it a thorough rewriting and expand it greatly beyond the stub it is now, and a more detailed description of international finance is forthcoming. However, I have been quite busy lately tending to some other articles that fall within the realm of international finance. John Shandy`talk 02:00, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
