[edit]This article suggests that in 1981 the letter to the editor was written in response to Wright's book, in 1982 the word 'Merde' was removed in response to Wright's book (at least I think that is what the horribly written sentence says), and in 1984 Wright's book was published. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.178.162.78 (talk) 21:12, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- changed to claims, which he had already published & spoken about on tv etc. You can see the letter (or the start of it) on JSTOR even without a sub. They removed it as a modern restoration. Johnbod (talk) 13:37, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
