The Command (2005 film) → Verdict (2005 film) – or Hokm (film). IMDb says the title of this film is Verdict and says its original title was Hokm. Another cited source also has Verdict. The theatrical poster art says the film is named حکم or Hokm. I don't know where "The Command" came from. There was an undiscussed move from Hokm (film) to the current title on 26 January 2015. The initial version of the article said the literal meaning of the Persian title is "The Verdict". Internet dictionaries translate "حکم" as warrant, judgment, ruled, sentence, or order. — BarrelProof (talk) 02:56, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
- Support per MUBI, IFFR, Mehr, and ifilm using Verdict or The Verdict. There is very little English-language sourcing that covers this film, but from what I can tell, The Command never comes up in what I found. I would be okay with Hokm per WP:NCF#Foreign-language films, "If the film has never been widely released in the English-speaking world, it is not assumed to have a commonly-recognized English name; in such cases, the native name is to be preferred over potentially variant translated titles used in English-language reliable sources." As an example of a variant, I did see The Warrant pop up here. As indication of the native name, WorldCat.org uses Hokm, for example. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 15:19, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
