Initial creation

[edit]

Unfortunately there's not a plethora of information about this new series yet available. Hopefully as we get closer to its July, 2013 premier there will be more press articles about it and the Wiki can be expanded.Sector001 (talk) 05:09, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted Problems Section

[edit]

I deleted a section called "Problems," for the reason that the one listed item in the "section" was a non-sourced editorial comment that the screenplay had lost all credibility because "newspapers do not show live feeds of people dying." While this is certainly a problem, it is still a non-sourced editorial comment. --OliverTwisted (Talk)(Stuff) 05:26, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summary

[edit]

In the text for the pilot it says "The judge's car and Fuentes' lower half are found, but Fuentes' ID card is missing." Is that correct? Wasn't Fuentes' lower half found on the bridge an the judge's lower half in the car?? --Lichtspielhaus (talk) 21:08, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Bridge (U.S. 2013 TV series)The Bridge (2013 TV series) – Unnecessary disambiguation, since there isn't another 2013 TV series named "The Bridge." Inappropriate to include country in title in this case. Wikipedical (talk) 17:37, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The person who moved it claimed that this was not the only 2013 series called The Bridge. I am not sure if that is true or not but it may be a good idea to look into this to make sure since at least one person has thought otherwise.--174.93.163.194 (talk) 00:56, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
According to IMDB and Google, there is no other 2013 TV series named The Bridge. -- Wikipedical (talk) 18:00, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. This was an oddly done move to begin with, and should have been discussed. There was no other series called The Bridge on the disambiguation page, and a Wikipedia search yielded nothing; I think what the original moving editor was thinking was that the original Swedish/Danish series is still in production, but it's identified by its nationality. The original moving editor moved the show twice, the second move was to (American 2013 TV series). I changed the American to U.S., but should have rearranged the words slightly. I'd like to see this more correct! --Drmargi (talk) 18:11, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Original series

[edit]

There seems to be no reference to the original Danish/Swedish co-produced TV series The_Bridge_(Danish/Swedish_TV_series). This ought to be remedied as the US series was based on the Scandinavian one. It might explain the above reference to this not being the only 2013 series named The Bridge - ie. the scandinavian series was also running on TV in 2013. The result of the move request was: Moved to The Bridge (U.S. TV series), since there is only one such series. The '2013' is not needed. EdJohnston (talk) 02:19, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Bridge (2013 TV series)The Bridge (2013 U.S. TV series) – Confusion can occur between this and the original Danish/Swedish TV series. Although there is no other TV series from 2013 named "The Bridge", the original Danish/Swedish series did air in this year. Adding the country of origin for this remake would remove this confusion. The Wikipedia page for the original Danish/Swedish series is no longer identified by its nationality, which is what prevented the previous move request. Hithere56 (talk) 23:23, 28 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose, unless there is tangible evidence that confussion exists we don't need to use the year, otherwise The Bridge (U.S. TV series) would be used. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 09:30, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Now that you have mentioned it, I see that "The Bridge (U.S. TV series)" would be a better title for this article. What I was saying was that confusion arises when you have two articles, one with "(2011 TV series)" and the other with "(2013 TV series)". If this was named "The Bridge (U.S. TV series)" and the original series that is was based on remains with the name "The Bridge (2011 TV series)", then that would eliminate any confusion.Hithere56 (talk) 20:43, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
