None?

[edit]

Were there really no homilies in the Catholic Churches in England in the Middle Ages? --99.249.11.127 (talk) 19:15, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes e.g. The earliest surviving examples of Cornish prose are the Tregear Homilies, a series of 12 Catholic sermons written in English by Edmund Bonner and translated by John Tregear around 1555-1557, to which a thirteenth homily The Sacrament of the Alter, was added by another hand.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 11:49, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Moved

[edit]

Per their entry in the Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church. A google search shows WP is one of the only sources that uses the old title to refer to these works. -- Secisek (talk) 09:24, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing Article.

[edit]

Considering the importance of the text in the history of religion in England, it is a shame that this article is in a poor state. I will, therefore, attempt to fix this article by adding references and cleaning up some of the writing. Now, I would appreciate if fellow editors could assist in this matter by kindly directing me to credible sources for citations. - --Harshcshah (talk) 14:17, 12 November 2021 (UTC).[reply]
