Texas–Permian Basin Falcons → UTPB Falcons – They use UTPB when referring to the teams of the school. Rodre112330 (talk) 21:15, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
- Offtopic comment ...Umm, why is Rodre112330's signature piped to link to Jdcomix's user page? Steel1943 (talk) 04:04, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose – Texas–Permian Basin is the WP:COMMONNAME, not UTPB. We don't go by the school's branding just because that is what they [want to] use, we use the [common] name. ESPN uses the full name, as well as the NCAA and a whole bunch more. Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 09:26, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose - UTPB is hardly a common name. --167.58.93.235 (talk) 18:26, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. The title is nowhere near long enough to say it needs shortening by abbreviation with loss of recognizability. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 05:18, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
