First name

The article says "his unusual first name taken from the illustrator Sir John Tenniel", but the source cited merely states that they were related. William Avery (talk) 09:59, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Surely a permissible inference! (How many Tenniels do we know?)

Regarding "The Navy Lark", if 'occasional' means 'as and when required', then yes. If it means 'just occasionally', not so. Ronnie Barker, Michael Bates, Evans and even Heather Chasen doubled like mad. Rogersansom (talk) 13:10, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
