inappropriate article title

[edit]

The terming of this small culture as a separate "civilization" is an example of media hype. A non-isolated village of 10,000 people would never be described as a civilization while it existed. Since the village was destroyed, calling it a "lost civilization" makes the story more romantic, but this is not accurate. The article title should be changed to something like Tambora (culture). Hi. Ok, so how about moving this page to Tambora (culture), Tambora (village), or Tambora (people)? Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 22:00, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Village?

[edit]

10,000 people is not a village. It is a large town or small city, even by modern standards, and this is before the population explosion of the past century. Calling it a village shows a huge anti-native bias. 45.47.206.125 (talk) 17:14, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
