A fact from Take Back the Night (song) appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 2 August 2013 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Currently the talk page has the "song" clarification but the article page does not. In light of this statement from the Director of the Take Back the Night Foundation: "All of a sudden on Wikipedia, Take Back the Night has a different definition. That’s not been helpful." We are not normally beholden to organizations and their trademarks, but supposing she's right we do need to be mindful of the effect of Wikipedia article titles on google search results. If the Foundation is the primary association in people's minds of the phrase "Take Back the Night", apart from the momentary popularity of a new hit song, perhaps it is more responsible of us and more encyclopedic to make that clear in the article title. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikidemon (talk • contribs) 02:21, 16 July 2013

– This article was recently moved to this title, without disambiguation, because the anti-domestic violence and anti-rape protest is actually called the "Take Back the Night Foundation". First, I don't think that's true; while the foundation that organizes the events is called the Take Back the Night Foundation, the actual event is called Take Back the Night. That article seems to be about the event, not the foundation. Either way, despite the fleeting fame of this particular song, I would argue that the foundation/event satisfies WP:PRIMARYTOPIC at the very least through long-term significance (having "substantially greater enduring notability and educational value than any other topic associated with that term"). Indeed, it's also likely that after this song leaves the charts, the organization would also satisfy the usage criterion as well (even though Mr. Timberlake only heard of it this month). -- tariqabjotu03:42, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Strongly support restoring Take Back the Night Foundation → Take Back the Night. This bold move was done without consensus and could probably be reverted ala BRD. The foundation has called itself 'Take Back the Night' since 1999, but there have been 'Take Back the Night' events held since 1975. It should be noted that when the title was changed to refer to the Foundation, it no longer reflected the content of that article, which is primarily about the events themselves, many of which have had no affiliation with the organization. A hatnote for Timberlake's song or the newly created disambiguation page should suffice. Gobōnobō+c19:12, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Support: The previous move was performed rather preemptively; a bit too soon to say that this is the primary topic after less than a month of release. "Take Back the Night Foundation" doesn't seem like a very accurate page title, since the scope of the article is primarily on the rallies themselves as opposed to the foundation that organizes them.
