Notability
[edit]It appears that this unit is pretty far down the food chain of the university. Is it notable in its own right, or should it just be mentioned within the context of the Faculty of Science's article? Based on the shortness of the article, I think the latter is the case. —C.Fred (talk) 04:39, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- The nomenclature of Unit is confusing, but the Unit is seen by the Faculty as one of the Schools - see http://sydney.edu.au/science/school_discipline/index.shtml or http://sydney.edu.au/about/faculties_schools.shtml#sci - and a core part of the Science Faculty.
There are articles for the Schools in the Faculty (bar one), so for completeness and clarity, we have added the HPS. The article is short deliberately, to keep it in the style of the other Schools in the Faculty. BETHUSYD (talk) 22:49, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- If all the schools have short articles, then the question is raised whether any of the schools are notable, or should they be summarized in the faculty's article? —C.Fred (talk) 01:12, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
