Different types of susceptibility
[edit]I think this article also needs to recognise that susceptibility to a disease can be influenced by more than just previous exposure. Host factors such as malnurtition, HIV, malaria often place a burden on the immune system that makes them more susceptible to infections, especially by opportunistic pathogens.
Possible sources of information on susceptibility of hosts due to genetic factors:
