[edit]

As of 2024 a search of the Times and Sunday Times online site found no mention of the award more recent than the announcement of the 2021 winner,[1] and it was also not mentioned in New Writing North's guide to short story competitions.[2]

The above used to be in the article but I moved it here because it's original research, and not needed. Only need to state when the last award was given and information about lack of sponsors, readers can reach the obvious conclusion. This is a common situation with awards, they don't announce dissolution because they keep the door open in hopes someone will take up the sponsorship. Then years go by and it becomes obvious. -- GreenC 14:49, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot figure out how to edit the link but the wikipedia URL for Kevin Barry points to wrong person's bio: it should be https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Barry_(writer) 88.81.99.195 (talk) 11:13, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Thank you. -- GreenC 14:43, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
