Suleyman (mansa)Sulayman of Mali – As per the recently-conducted move of Khalifa (mansa) to Khalifa of Mali, WP:NCROY and WP:TITLEDAB indicate that the title Sulayman of Mali is more in line with Wikipedia title naming conventions. However, for consistency with Mansa Musa, for whom WP:COMMONNAME applies, Mansa Sulayman is also an option. In any case, a natural disambiguation would be preferable to a parenthetical one, and I think the spelling "Sulayman" should be favored over "Suleyman", as it appears to be the more common spelling of the name. Scholarly sources, such as UNESCO's General History of Africa, Levtzion and Hopkins' Corpus of Early Arabic Sources for West African History, and Gomez's African Dominion, seem to primarily use the transliteration "Sulaymān". "Mansa Sulayman" turns up 117 results on Google Scholar, whereas "Mansa Suleyman" turns up 69 results, some of which seem to be based on Wikipedia. • ... that unlike his famously generous brother Mansa Musa, Mansa Sulayman of Mali was considered a miser? Source: "The same traveller [Ibn Battuta] met Sulayman and noted that the people hated him because of his parsimony in contrast to the generosity of his brother Mansa Musa" (Levtzion 1973: Ancient Ghana and Mali, p. 67); referring to Ibn Battuta's statements "He is a miserly king from whom no great donation is to be expected" and "The Sudan disliked Mansa Sulayman on account of his avarice...Mansa Musa was virtuous and generous." (translated in Levtzion and Hopkins 2000: Corpus of early Arabic Sources for West African history; pp. 289, 295)
