The result of the move request was: moved to Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue (Sudbury), without the 'u', as pointed out by Astrophobe. (closed by non-admin page mover) Vaticidalprophet 07:59, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
Sudbury’s Shaar Hashomayium Synagogue → Shaar Hashomayium Synagogue (Sudbury) – The synagogue does not seem to have "Sudbury's" as part of its name, but as there are multiple places called Shaar Hashamayim, a disambiguation is still needed. ~~~~

- Comment I believe the "u" is in error, the name should be Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue. 162 etc. (talk) 15:49, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
- @1234qwer1234qwer4: This discussion should be re-started due to the spelling error that User:162 etc. noted. I would also add that Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue is available as an article title, removing the need to disambiguate. I agree that the article has to be renamed, of course - there's no way it should start with "Sudbury's". Regards, PKT(alk) 16:41, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. Not sure about the disambiguation though, as Shaar Hashamayim suggests that Shaar Hashomayim is just an alternative spelling and lists multiple other synagogues known by this name. ~~~~
User:1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) 16:44, 4 May 2021 (UTC) - (Also note that Shaar Hashomayim and Shaar Hashamayim Synagogue both redirect to the disambiguation page.) ~~~~

- Move to Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue (Sudbury). Disambiguation looks necessary (see Sha'ar Hashamayim Synagogue (Cairo), Shaar Hashamayim Yeshiva, etc, this is a case of WP:D), and location is the natural way to do it. As for spelling, the correct transliteration of the name is not really up to us, page names need to be WP:CONSISTENT with the common way that the article subject is referred to across reliable sources. My reading of the sources on this page is that "Shaar Hashomayim synagogue" is the common English name of this entity (but the whole thing is one MOS:PROPERNAME so we should capitalize the "s" in synagogue). - Astrophobe (talk) 19:28, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

- Support this. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:06, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- Looks good. Is the "Hashomayium" a typo? ~~~~
User:1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) 11:33, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- I would definitely think so. The Hebrew word is הַשָּׁמָיִם. ם is "m" and יִ is "yi", so the end of the word is certainly yim. I can't imagine anyone would intentionally transliterate it otherwise; that's the default Hebrew plural, and I've never seen it rendered into English any other way. ium looks like someone was more used to Latin endings. But regardless, RS all identify it the same way: Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue. - Astrophobe (talk) 16:40, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- Support the recommendation by Astrophobe. PKT(alk) 11:59, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
