Anime Episodes

In this article, it is mentioned that there are:

• 26 AND 12 episodes in the infobox
• 12 episodes and a special 13th episode under the Anime subheading
• and 24 episode names listed

I haven't watched it so I don't know, but how many episodes IS in Ichigo 100%!? Highwind888 (talk) 02:17, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

I did some digging. Madhouse created 26 (12-minute) episodes. However, each episode was shown in pairs in a half-hour block so it feels more like 13 episodes. Whoever made that edit probably tried to convey that. It's better straight-forward 26 since that's what they issued. As well, the last 2 episodes were unaired, 1 special created, and 4 OVAs it seems. I haven't seen the anime either, only the manga, so that's the best I could do to sort it out at the moment. Fox816 (talk) 03:15, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

It is true what Fox816 dug up. I actually watched the anime and there were 24 episodes (so the last two were not aired) and four OVAs. Ther is one extra episode, but I haven't seen that one yet. That concludes this section. 24 episodes, 1 extra and 4 OVAs. (unsigned)

In case there is still any confusion...there are, all told, 18, repeat, 18 half-hour episodes. I know, because I've watched all of them. 13 of the episodes are split into 2 chapters/sub-episodes. One of those 13 did not air. There are 4 OVAs and the Jump Festa episode. So 18...or maybe 31, depending on how you want to count the chapter-divided episodes. And while it may technically be true, as the article states, that the OVAs and specials aren't continuations of the series, I haven't found any reason based on the contents of the episodes to not place them within a single continuity. Reception

Here, briefly, are my reasons for editing the text. Strawberry 100% introduces serious themes at the beginning of the story. It does not switch from comedy to slice-of-life. The serious themes simply build in power as the story progresses. The story is about much more than Manaka making a painful choice. Many of us would be overjoyed if we had the opportunity to choose between three girls as wonderful as Tsukasa, Aya, and Satsuki! Aya's recognition in chapter 163 that she has learned and grown from her love for Manaka, which "did not bear fruit" (her words) is as important as Manaka choosing Tsukasa. And who really chooses whom? Tsukasa makes the confession in chapter 141! Denver Al (talk) 07:55, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Receptions sections should be about what reviews say and the popularity of the series (how well it sold). Everything in that section must be attributed to a reliable third-party publication. You can begin reaching through the vetted online sources at WP:ANIME/RS. I hope you like this version better. :-) Going through this exercise makes me wonder about the correct approach for mangas still being released in English. Strawberry 100%, for example, is currently at Vol. 11 of 19. Should we make no mention of a volume until it is released and reviewed? There is a great deal of discussion about the ending of Strawberry 100% at various places on the web; those people have read the scans at onemanga.com, etc. Should we make no mention of that until Viz Media releases the final volumes in the series? I agree that Manga Updates was engage in or promotes the distribution of illegal scanlations so it can't be use in wikipedia but about Manga Updates is is not a reliable source it really wrong. Honestly before i read manga updates i often saw official review in AnimeDb and each but found that the review was uninteresting and often disappointing (Often they said it was a good anime but in reality it really worse). I don't have problem with deletion of my edit but say that manga updates is unreliable was absurd. (Db84x (talk) 05:29, 15 August 2010 (UTC))

Clean up on story section

I've cleared out about half of the story section. The reason? It entirely spoiled the story in a couple of sentences. It did for me. I've replaced it with the main conflict (I think that is the correct phrase). I've reverted the edits because you've removed vital details about how the story ended, thus rendering the summary incomplete. The pretense of "spoilers" is not a legitimate excuse to remove plot details. —Farix (t | c) 15:43, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Story and characters

I made several changes to the story and characters. I used the characters' first names for unity, which is also the case for the Viz Media version. I added more to the story section mostly to highlight the themes about the characters' dreams and future, as well as their growth. The previous summary covered too little about the major plot on making films. The films are of particular importance because the choice of heroins symbolizes the protagonist's preference around that time, which is further related to the characters' future plans. The story section is now longer but contains summary of each high school year. Junpei's final choice is not just about whom he likes most; it is tightly integrated with the three main characters' plan for future, especially Aya going to Junpei's college. Hence more detail about this part. I removed some previous phrases to keep the summary concise and also because the meanings are still present in other texts; hopefully everyone would be fine with the removal (more reasons upon request). I also changed some typos.

For the same reasons I added some information in the characters section. I added descriptions about Junpei's growth in relationships and personality. For this, it is necessary to point out that Junpei has been seeing several girls at the same time. The girls do participate in this willingly, including Tsukasa saying it is OK for him to love Aya while dating her, and Aya offering to go to his college before confirming their relationship. However Junpei certainly started a lot of intimate behaviors himself, not just being pushed into situations. My point is to highlight his change at the end of the series, which is one of the most important element of the story.
