Title of the article
[edit]The title of the article in the list of van Gogh's paintings is "Vase with Pink Roses". The name at the museum is "Roses". And to further complicate the issue, aside from other paintings of roses by van Gogh, there's another roses painting he painted at the same time/place as this painting.
How should the painting be named in this case? It would seem to me that it makes sense to name it by the name at the museum, but I wonder if the title is too short (no definition from other roses paintings by van Gogh). Does anyone have any thoughts about this?--CaroleHenson (talk) 03:27, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
- Roses (painting) like Sunflowers (series of paintings) seems fine, in the List of Paintings by Vincent van Gogh here I would use both - Vase with Pink Roses,/ Roses (painting)...Modernist (talk) 17:59, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
