[edit]I couldn't find any English language article that mentions he is actually married to Christine Oh. So if someone finds one, please change the text to reflect it and cite the source. Monni 11:59, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Who made this seem so....nonencyclopedia-ish? And I deleted the comment that was here before. SKS2K6 01:44, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Requested move
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: moved to Yoo Seung-jun. Jenks24 (talk) 12:55, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Steve Seungjun Yoo → Steve Yoo – The current name, arising from a 2008 move, is a hybrid. It should be either "Steve Yoo" (current name / American name) or "Yoo Seung-jun" (former name / Korean name). He had been most notable for a career from 1997 to 2002 in South Korea, where he was known by his Korean name. But in 2002 he became a naturalized American and was deported and banned from Korea. Right now he's still an American citizen mostly working as an actor in China, where he's always credited in English by his English name "Steve Yoo", see e.g. [1]. Timmyshin (talk) 06:07, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
- As nominator either "Steve Yoo" or "Yoo Seung-jun" (or some variation with respect to the hyphen) would be all right in my opinion. But you almost never see this hybrid name in English. Timmyshin (talk) 06:42, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
- Support per nominator. Sawol (talk) 04:32, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- Move to Yoo Seung-jun — per WP:COMMONNAME: "Steve Yoo" -wikipedia (39k) vs. "Yoo Seung-jun" -wikipedia (110k). In contrast to WP:SPS, current WP:RS both in & out of Korea continue to call him Yoo Seung-jun [2][3]. Citizenship doesn't change the application of WP:COMMONNAME, otherwise all the Korean baseball players in the U.S. (at least who didn't become U.S. citizens) would have their articles in the family-name-first order. 61.10.165.33 (talk) 04:11, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
