Globalize

[edit]

This article primarily describes bureaus in the US with only a sentence for German bureaus. Please add info about bureaus in other countries. –Temporal User (Talk) 08:32, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What other countries even use the term "State bureau of investigation"? (Germany uses a German word, Landeskriminalamt, not an English phrase.) I'm not saying they don't exist, but if we don't have articles on the those topics, there's no need to "globalize" this article, or move it to another title. - BilCat (talk) 17:16, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

State bureau of investigationState Bureau of Investigation – This article was originally at "State Bureau of Investigation". It is used in the US as a proper name, and this title would help to alliviate the continual efforts to tag the article with globalize tage, even though there are no other articles about state-level bureaus of investigation on WP, save for the German term.. - BilCat (talk) 18:33, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. The term is used in this article primarily as a normal noun phrase. The fact that it can be converted for use to refer to a specific state bureau of investigation is unsurprising, and immaterial. Compare "university", but "the University" when in the context a particular university is referred to, and capitalisation is used to make this clearer. Promiscuous use of capitals obscures and disables such discriminating use. NoeticaTea? 01:59, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Theft

[edit]

this is my comment,it seems you can go to Macon Ga. Steal a persons truck or vehicle with witnesses and get away with it. Even tho I've tried and tried and left many messages from the captain to ncic, warrent dept crime and investigation dept. No one will get back to me. No one is arresting the colpret even tho their is 3 different witness. I'm not sure if this is the proper place to complain about this but it's been months now, and still nothing done about it. Maybe it will take the FBI or other offices or services of the people to get satisfaction. You have my E-mail, if interested please someone get back to me. Thank you for your time to read this. This is not the right place to complain about this. If you've been contacting Macon police, consider contacting state police or potentially county authorities. This comment is not legal advice. @Catsmeow222 Staraction (talk | contribs) 18:09, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
