I have altered the King John bit as a result of research I have been doing over 10 years. I can't cite the direct source, as I'm not at home, but it included the Victoria County History and an article in an archaeological journal. An English medieval recreation group use the castle every October, which is how I know about it. --Simon Cursitor 11:00, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I changed the phrase "a couple of churches" to read: "a church, two chapels..." as I feel it is a more accurate description of the types of places involved, and have added some of my own local knowledge of stone mining on the Hudnalls. I have also added a section discussing the etymology of the name 'Cold Harbour', please feel free to add to or edit this section as I am currently unable to reference it as I am not at home. --DB 11:47, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
