Citation style
[edit]When we have the same source repeated with different page numbers, think using shortened footnotes like this is useful. However I don't want to go changing the citation style unilaterally. Any thoughts? — Strongjam (talk) 14:22, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
- Seems better than the previous citation system. Brustopher (talk) 21:05, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
Uncertain about the "British" lable
[edit]@GiantSnowman: Given that Morgan died before the Act of Union is it appropriate to refer to him as British? I would have referred to him as English or Welsh, but none of the sources mention which of the two he was born in. I know that there's often massive edit disputes about whether to refer to someone as British or English or whatnot: has any accepted practice emerged regarding this? Does British work in this circumstance? Brustopher (talk) 18:49, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Brustopher: - oh good point. Maybe rename to 'English' to match the categories he is in? GiantSnowman 19:13, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman: I'll do that, but a lot of the sources imply (but don't explicitly state) that he was born in Wales. I guess at this point England includes Wales so it's a fair enough statement to make. Brustopher (talk) 19:29, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Brustopher: true, and birth place doesn't always match nationality. GiantSnowman 19:30, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

Correction of year of birth and death
[edit]I have corrected the year of birth and death according to the information in Dutch biographies. The year of death 1642 is also written on his tomb, so must be correct. --Mark de Nijs (talk) 22:39, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
