Crispus There's more than a brief mention there: The Atuatuci, who were marching to their aid, turned back on hearing of the defeat and retreated to one stronghold, were put under siege, and soon surrendered and handed over their arms. However, the surrender was a ploy, and the Atuatuci, armed with weapons they had hidden, tried to break out during the night. The Romans had the advantage of position and killed 4000. The rest, about 53 thousand, were sold into slavery. which is actually more description than there is here. But if it is possible to expand then perhaps there can be a separate article. I suppose I was stretching th meaning of “brief mention ;). Yeah, there’s several paragraphs in the original text converning the battle that could be used to expand this. It’s got more source material than many iconic Ancient battles that have their own articles, at least. I just need to make sure I add it in the proper way.
