Promotional tone and contents
[edit]I pared down the lead paragraph, which was excessively promotional in tone, not to mention an apparent copyright violation; and removed an exhaustive, lengthy listing of what appears to be every artist, show or movie republished by this company, as likewise promotional and unencyclopedic. Editors who disagree with these edits and / or the reasons I've given for making them should discuss their concerns here, rather undo them without comment. Thanks. - I read the article many times and I don't recall it ever having it being used for promotion. People do need to know which albums, films, and TV series the company had released. That's why I believe that information should be restored and never be removed. FilmandTVFan28 ([[User
You should mention that they released the complete Larry Sanders series in one box set. That is probably their most significant release. (----) Tony Riley

- Recently an editor revised the lead paragraph to turn it into PR speak, and indeed it was taken straight from a Shout! press release. It's hard to get more promotional than that. As for the extensive list of the company's releases, this is an encyclopedia article, not a convenient catalog for Shout! products. People who are interested in purchasing something from Shout! can go to its website and see what their offerings are there. See WP:NOTCATALOG for more. Thanks. - It does seem to me that Shout! are going out of their way to cover up their injustices. I must admit, I was willing to edit the page myself highlighting a recent one, but thought against it. I just hope that someone with all the proper citation and without internal leading can re-write the page properly.

Scream Factory
[edit]What happened to the Scream Factory Wikipedia page that used to be linked to this one? I miss seeing the list of Scream Factory releases over the years by the company. Said list is difficult to find online elsewhere. Mzimmerle (talk) 21:30, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hey there, I too miss that list, luckily I managed to copy it and post it on my user page sandbox, I've also been updating it too, here is a link to it, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:TVWolf/List_of_Scream_Factory_Releases , hope this helps TVWolf (talk) 01:38, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
Shout! Factory has renamed it's company name
[edit]Most recently, Shout! Factory has officially rebranded as Shout! Studios to celebrate it's 20th anniversary.[1] I'm now suggest to changed the name as it was inteded. VernardoLau (talk) 08:23, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
